View Full Version : Tightening Front Sight
I noticed that my factory plastic front sight is a little loose. How do I tighten it? Do I press the little pin further in?

Yes, its possible that the pin wasn't inserted all the way. It should click into place.
BTW, a simple way to make sure your front sight is aligned correctly is to take a wooden pencil and lay a flat side along the side of the sight (with the middle of pencil next to sight).
Then you can easily compare the pencil to the side of the slide to check if they line up. When the pencil and slide are parallel, the sight is aligned.
Also, you'll note that the pencil's outside flat is right about where the slide is rounded over. Makes the aligning very easy.
What a load of crap!
Are you telling me that the human eye-brain can discern parallel planes, and extrapolate a solution?
What a pile of BS!
Wait a minute, Judy's here...
It seems some Greek guy, Eros-something, deduced the circumferance of the earth, using sticks, and shadows, and math, and he did this something like 1000 B.C. His solution was correct--at least correct enough for amaterurs; something like 98.97%.
Well, BFD!
Next we'll be talking .45 ACP : 10 MM Conversion Barrels! By the way, where the hell is mine?
