I'm intrested in the PLATINUM CUP kit for $249, does anybody have expierence with this Ciener kit??
.........or which would you recomend
I did a search but nothing really came up
thanks!!
I've got one of the standard kits, runs just fine. I put it on an old Fed-Ord alloy frame, and it makes for a very lightweight plinker. I'm not a big fan of adjustable sights. I'm also a cheapskate :)
I did have to polish the chamber a little to get 100% feeding. Now it gobbles up anything.
Just a warning - taking to Mr. Ciener is a trip. He's an....interesting fellow:shocked:

Some people don't like the Ciener kits for Glocks. In contrast most people (myself included) love the Advantage Arms kits for Glocks. I also hear that Advantage Arms is making or is about to make a 1911 kit. Too bad I found out about that after I bought my Wilson Combat (Marvel) 1911 kit.
I have had real good experience dealing with Desert Scorpion of Glock Doctor. He gives us board members a discount; same with Top Glock.

This is not the Ciener Kimber used to resell, this is the new one. Bought mine on sale from Midway at $259, they're normally $279.
Mags are good but need breaking in to hold 10 rds instead of 9 (gee, wonder if Glock made them for Kimber). Won't cycle with target loads, not enough juice. Runs perfect with CCI MiniMags, Stingers, Remington Hivel, Federal hivel and old Mohawk. Sights are nicely defined and adjustable.
Tons of fun, I shoot it more than my more accurate Hi Standard. Kimber did a nice job on this.
