Seems like from the reviews I've read from members the CW9 has a stellar record out of the box. I thought it'd be cool to get all the CW owners to give us a short report to keep track of its reliability record.
Mine was test fired 8/31/06
300 hundred rounds through mine without a single malfunction.
Only issue was a set pin coming out of the trigger pin. Was sticking out a little by the trigger. I used a drift (or punch) to push it back in.
Please list your test date, round count and any issues you have/are having
THANKS!!
My CW9 has worked very well. The only problems for the most part have been operator induced.
For instance, in chambering the first round, I have started using the slide release method recommended by Kahr. When I was doing by hand, apparently I was riding the slide, however slightly, and I had some failures there.
Another problem, I found that most failures to feed were related to my poor loading of the magazine. If each round is not properly seated in the mag, a failure to feed could occur.
Also, I did have an issue with the 8 round magazines. They are advertised on the Kahr website as available for the CW9. I had several failures to fire when I was using that mag. Dottie said it was the pinkie pressure on the extension, and I should not use my little finger! I was holding a pistol, not a teacup? She then said the the 8 round mag was not to be used in the CW9. When I sent her a copy of her own website which showed the 8 round mag working with the CW9, Kahr agreed to swap out the 8 round mags for the 7 rounds, and I have not had a problem since.
I did polish the feed ramp with a Dremel tool and jewlers rouge. This seemed to smooth out the loading process. I was noticing a "nick" in the feed ramp where the round was hitting until I did the Fluff and Buff.
I practice with Winchester White Box. No problems there. Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P is the carry ammo, and I shoot off a mag of it every once in a while to cycle ammo and make sure that no feed problems have developed.
I have shot a wide variety of cheap ammo in it, from WWWB to British jacketed hollow point, to Wolf to Speer. I did not like how the Wolf ammo felt or sounded going into chamber, but it worked just fine.
I have not used reload ammo, and I have heard that because of the tight tolerances of the gun, reload migh create a problem. I have not shot +P+ because Kahr does not state that the firearm may utilize that ammo.
A noted on another thread, I recently had a dovecut put on the front of the slide and purchased X/S Big Dot night sights. A great improvement for these aging eyes; particularly front sight acquisition. It was $200 for the whole thing (including the sights), but this was a good investment. I now have a sight I can easily see in broad daylight or in low or no light situations.
Round count - between 750 and 1000 rounds. One year of ownership. Daily Carry. (edited to add this paragraph.)

Only had mine for about 3 weeks and about 300 rounds down the pipe. Only problem was the first few mags with a FTB on the first shot. No problems since then and I Have been carrying it for the last week or so. I love the fact that I can not feel the gun with an IWB holster. 1 mag follower issue but Kahr(dottie) is sending me out one to replace it. I love the gun and glad I bought it!
Between 1,450 and 1,600 rounds. Lost exact count just over 1,200 rounds.
Aside from riding the slide and causing a jam while chambering the first round, the gun has NEVER failed. Not once.

Keep'em coming!!
Another CW9 here. I don't have the test date handy.
I have at least 750 rounds through it, mostly WWB and Remington UMC. Some Speer Gold Dot and Corbon DPX.
Zero malfunctions! (Well, a few of the common problems chambering the first round until I figured out to always use the slide release for consistent operation.)
I have the Agrip rubber grip pad and a Mitch Rosen Clipper holster, both of which have worked out well.

I have about 400 rds thru mine. The first 200 were horrible. I had mutiple failure to return to battery. I emailed Kahr and at first they recommended polishing the feed ramp. But thanks to you guys on here I did some research and found that a stiffer recoil spring was in order. I emailed Kahr again and asked for a stiffer spring, they sent one and now I am a happy camper with zero malfunctions.
Hope that helps.

Got to the range today and put another 150 MALFUNCTION FREE rounds through the C-Dub :hearts:
Spent some more time on the trigger today and did much better this time out. When I do my part this is a very accurate pistol.
I've also decided on the Fobus C 21-B holster. It holds the gun very tight to the body and Stays in place. I wish I could have bought the one in the range today but I placed a bid on one last night on Ebay.
I LOVE MY KAHR!!!!!!!
