...and they've come up with new MSRPs. PM9094N (PM9, Tungsten DLC, Night sights) is now $896.00 - up 26 bucks.

What's the point of the tp? Should have gone a T45 (or at least K45) and made it all steel (yeah i know too heavy). But I don't see any advantage (in terms of who would buy this over a 3.5" p45).

I agree about the prices and about the poly only thing. If they made a K 45 or a T 45 all stainless steel then I would buy one. I've carried full size for years my lightest carry piece is my Model 60-14. I don't like carried alot shot very little.

I would consider one. I have been looking at 45ACP but I don't like the non-flush mount magazine and the height. I wish they would make a 45ACP in the style of my MK9. I LOVE my MK9!

Do you mean "whats the point of the PM45" or "Whats the point of the TP45"

Either way its simple.

PM = smaller frame, shorter grip
TP= Longer Slide, same size grip

People want choices. I wonder if they will make a K45 or a T45. If they don't then that tells you those models in the other calibers simple don't sell like the P guns. In time we will know.

I like the TP4543, I've got a P45-3.5" now and would like a 4" bbl, little more velocity, weight up front, sight radius the extra length is no concealment problem but I'd cut the frame to fit my mags, I don't like the extra frame height for carry

Well it is a little smaller. Thats about it. I don't care for super small pistols either. If I could have both I would carry the the larger Kahr most the time and the smaller one every once in a while.

I'm always searching for the "perfect" pocket gun in tne biggest caliber I can get and the P45 was/is a little big when I've tried it at shows, haven't bought one and now I'm glad I waited. I probably won't buy one right away, but depending on range reports and the "pocketability". I may seriously consider it.

It's going to be a tad shorter in length than the Glock G26, but a tad taller. It should be a great IWB gun, and great in a jacket pocket, but I'd say it will be a bit big for jeans front pocket carry. Maybe baggy shorts or Dockers.

My problem is reliability. Kahr seems to have the P45 down pretty well, but anyone who knows 1911's knows that 3" guns are hard to get right, and hard to keep running. To me it seems like Kahr just made ground on the PM9 and PM40 when they invented a new nightmare to contend with. I'd wait to see how many go back before I bought one. Perhaps Christmas 2007!

Don't know how much ground they are making with the PM9, yesterday at the my local shop while I was looking around someone came in with a PM9 #4xxx that had shot 200+ rounds from it & he was sending it back for repairs as when he went to clean it it would not come apart, w/o the mag in the slide would stick halfway back until you touched the front of the barrel, that is as far as it would come apart & the gunsmith was there & he could do nothing with it, also I noted that the top of the barrel where peeing has been noted had peened really bad, I guess the rumor that any PM9 over #2xxx has been corrected may be wrong.

You would'nt have to cut the PT45 frame. You could put the 4" slide on your P45 frame. I have a P45 and I plan on doing the same.

Well, peeing on the barrel might cause some kind of a problem after a while. ;)

Seriously though, that PM45 looks mighty interesting. I've been considering a P45 since they were introduced to replace my sweet little PM9, so mebbe I'll wait until they shake this one out.
