I have my C&R license and want to buy a good SKS for plinking, etc.
Who would you buy one from? I'm looking for the distributor that has high quality SKS rifles at a competitive price.

I bought one of these from here:

I've bought several guns from AIM and I have been pleased with them all. Great company to do business with. They got many other milsurp firearms too!
It turned out to be an excellent buy, I've been very pleased with it. I just had it shipped to my FFL, so I think altogether I walked out the door having spent less than $200 with the price of the gun, shipping, etc...
It's an excellent SKS. I am very pleased with it. I ended up doing a little "trimming" so to speak, cutting off the grenade launcher, bayonet, night sites, etc...
Here it is now.

I'll second the AIM recommendation on the SKS.
Got 3 SKSs from there. The last was near perfect in evey way.
SOG has them for around the same $s.

If you haven't bought one yet?
J&G Sales in Prescott, AZ.
Pretty near perfect and fairly cheap.
About a hundred for G/VG condition.
