Are there any women that would like to comment about there own experiences in self-defense/weapons systems training programs... or if you could customize your own program what would the content be? How long of a class?

I haven't taken any courses, but I've looked into a few.

I would really enjoy an all-female class (could be taught male or female, it doesn't matter)... but I want more than the usual, "THAT'S *MY* PURSE!!... NO MEANS NO!!" crap.

Not saying that stuff isn't useful for some people, I just think most of these classes I've seen are retarded and only work if you're getting accosted by a fat guy in a smelly mattress suit.

I'd be more interested in disarming a knife or a gun from an attacker... or learning various body moves to get out from under an attacker and such. I can figure out the knee to the groin move on my own methinks....

Or another example... here in Italy the only thing I can carry for self-defense is a small knife. We're talking less than 3" here. How the hell do I use this to defend myself? Now THAT would be a class to sign up for!
