Tool Challenged Newbie- Mepro Installation

Hello All,

I'll be getting my first Glock (G17) in a week or so. I'm looking at replacing the fixed sights with Meprolight adjustable night sights. What tools do I need to change out the sights without having to buy alot of expensive tools? I've changed out 1911 bomars before but left a few marks using make shift tools. What do you all suggest?

Do a little research and see who offers lucid installation instructions and installation tools with their sights.

Some companies offer both, but do admit that some fitting with a file or emery cloth may be needed.

Some have set screws while others rely on friction and Loc-Tite to secure the rear sight. At any rate, while the rear sight may take some smacking with a non-marring punch, the Hammer Of Thor should not be required to install it!
