View Full Version : Ambidextrous Mag release?
I heard a rumour that a 45 with an ambidextrous mag release will be coming out soon.
1: Is this true?
2: when will I be able to purchase one? (It has my wife's name all over it)

At this point it does not look like a "gen 4" gun, where all models are going to be getting a new frame design. The indications are that it is going to be a slimmed G21 size gun, with a Picatinny rail and ambidextrous magazine release. There have been confirmed sightings in gun stores of the new G21 magazine modified to accommodate the ambi release. It has a "window" in the front of the mag where a newly designed catch would engage it, in addition to the old style notch on the side. No confirmed mention has been made of the supposed safety.

Some commercial distributors are already listing the SKU for this product. It'll be shown at SHOT. Has already been shown at a distributor show.

Its called a G21 SF. Its not worth purchasing a new gun for it though. Just my opinion. Glock should have made a dual mmag rel retro fit kit.
