I have just installed an Ameriglo front sight on my G27. I got the screw pretty tight, but I am wondering if that is all that I need to do to keep the sight on. Would Loc-tite be better to use? if so where can I get some. Also, is there anything else that I nned to know before shooting the gun?
Thanks,

Front sights must be loctited. You can pick it up at most hardware stores. Use red, and only put it on the screw threads do not fill the hole in the front sight with loctite.
"A little dab'll do ya." It takes very little thread locker on the post because of its size.

Ok great I have some lock-tite blue #242. Would that work or is The red 271 really that much better? Thanks in advance.

Blue will work, red is better and preferred.
