View Full Version : .357 sig or .40 cal in my G20
I have got a G20 in a trade not long ago,Nice gun.Now i have a little extra want to buy a 6" Drop Jarvis barrel..Only have money for ONE barrel.Either a .357 SIG or .40 cal.The gun came with 6.5 Jarvis barrel from the guy along with alot of other good stuff.
Need help,I like thie IDEA of the Sig .357 Mag power and 15 rnds.
But the .40 is the end result of the 10mm.
opions, smart ass comment, any of you do the conversion?
Thanks guys
Bob
I can only assume you are buying another barrel because of availability and cheaper ammo, correct? If so, go for the .40 as it's cheaper and much more common than the .357 Sig.
Yes and no..I will at one time in the future own both.Your right the .40 cal. Is cheaper to shoot but WHICH one would be a better, choice as far as ballastics goes.
the sig has better ballistics.

But, the 10mm is better than them both
Either round would be very mild in the big 20. I would go with the .40, for it's cheaper ammo.
When you want power, drop the 10mm back in.
I do like the .357 Sig round (I plan on a .357 barrel for my Glock 35 soon), but don't see a point for it in a 10mm gun...
