I thought I read someone had problems when they loaded the chamber and then topped off the mag. Anyone had this problem? I have the CW9.

Hi Kramer,

I haven't had any problems when I've done this with my K9 yet. It seems to function fine for my gun.

If you look at the manufacturer's site for the CW9, they list the capacity as:
Capacity 7 + 1

They expect you to top off the mag.

I did. It only happened 4 times, 2 on each mag when they were brand new. On the third cycle each they were flawless. The issue was after the first shot, I got a FTB which was fixed with a lite tap the the bottom of the mag.

I do it all the time and my C-dub has not malfunctioned once in 500 rounds.

As a matter of fact, it is the first new gun I have ever bought that has been flawless even during break in. My mighty poly framed 1911 even had some stovepipes during break in and had a defective mag that always FTF'd the last round. After its break in it has been 100%. To think the Kahr has fed, fired and ejected every round out of three different mags makes me very happy.

Kahr definately seems to have their act together now

That is the problem I am having right now. I just got a new barrel, guide rod, spring, and 2 new mags from Kahr. Seems to have fixed the other issues, but now On my extended mags the 6 rounders I load one in the chamber, then pull the mag add one more. When I shoot the first shot the slide locks back? only on the first shot though. I am going to call Kahr again tommorow.

The extended mags are the problem. Little finger pressure changes something in the angle for the round. I had the same problem, eventualy gave up and went back to the seven round mags in exchange for the eight round mags.

With the pm40 though I really like the extra length the 6 round mag offers over the 5 round. I called Kahr again today they are sending me out 3 new mags, he said it should be right? Its getting frustrating.

Only issues I've had is if I don't load the mag with some force. A good slap on the bottom seems to do just fine. Had the same issue with a S&W 908.
