Or is it a girl? I can't decide. Either way, my G23 now has a sibling - a bouncing baby 10mm. I think the 23 is gonna get jealous of all the attention the 29 receives. I just hope I don't play favorites. Who am I kidding? I know which one I'll be shooting more, and probably end up carrying daily.

Picked up a 2nd gen. today for $425, and already have some goodies on the way: a Scherer 3.5 connector, Meprolights, spare mags and Pearce extensions. I'll be doing the .25 cent trigger job when I have it apart for the connector.

Is there anything else I'll need while I'm in there, like a new recoil spring or guide rod? Are they failure prone or are better ones necessary for the hotter loads?

If you're gonna shoot a lot of the hot stuff (IE, Doubletap), a heavier recoil spring would probably be a good idea. No idea on the weight's for 29, though...
