Took my new P9 out today for a little reliability shooting. I now have 350 rounds through it with zero problems. I'm beginning to trust this little dog.

Today I shot 100 rounds. Mostly WWB and about 25-30 Remington +P that I mixed into the mags so I wasnt sure which was which. I'm trying to get used to the Kahr trigger as compared to my Glocks. Groups were good for 10 yards, but nothing to post pics of as of yet. Today I was still going through the break in "trust" period.

I did notice that my fingers had little squares in them from the front strap checkering. Wow! are those little things sharp from the factory! I took a flat file with fine teeth and removed the points from the checkering on the front and backstrap tonight. I then cleaned the frame up good with a polymer brush. You can't tell to look at it that I did anything, but removing those points sure feels better in my hand. I'll have to get out this weekend for more shooting to confirm this, and begin shooting for decent groups.

So far, my P9 is a winner!

My friend's P-45 has some aggressive checkering on the front strap as well. So much so, that it almost hurts my hands when I grip it.

My CW-40, however, is perfect! Not too slick, not too aggressive.

I have taken some fine grit sandpaper to all my Kahrs to break up the aggressive checkering on them. When done you can't tell anything was done by looking at them, but man does it make a difference in shooting.

I just put a rubber grip sleeve on my P45; makes a huge difference. Checkering pain is no more.

The AGRIP products from Brooks Tactical work very well. Smoothes out the checkering without losing any grip.

I would second the AGRIP wrap.
What a difference it has made on my PM9.
I can do a day long class with @ 600rnd without being torn up.
It also makes the grip comfortable against bare skin.
And when your hands get sweaty or wet it grips even better.
I liked it so much I had purchased a replacement grip for when my original wears out. But I am over 2yrs and the wrap is still in great shape - have @ 3k rounds since the wrap was installed.
I highly recommend teh AGRIP wrap.

I put the first 100 rnds through my CW9 yesterday. I thought I was being weenie all day at work wondering why my hand was so sore. Glad to hear it's not just me! That backstrap damn near blistered my hand.
I'll be filing it.
