mini 14 bolt stay open not working

My mini 14 is having a problem. They button on the top of the receiver that holds the bolt oopen doesnt work that well anymore. It hangs up sometimes and can only be pressed down halfway, and wont hold the bolt back. Is this a common problem, and how can I fix it.

Is this with the mag in?

Or working it manually?

If it working it manually, you might try taking the cover plate off the side and cleaning the spring and detent plunger.

If it just won't hold the bolt open with a mag in, what mags are you using?
