A guy is interested in buying my STI Trojan and asked what is involved in swapping out the target sights for fixed sights to ccw the pistol. I told him I would make some inquiries and get back to him.

Anyone know how involved the job is?

I had the same problem with mine. If I could do it over I would wait thhe month it takes to order one with fixed sights sa oposed to the bomars. But to try to answer the question I have not been able to find a good option short of having the slide welded to fill in the area the bomar needs to work properly. What I have found though is with a small amount of modification to the front sight you can have a set of big dots installed. Hope this helps.

Try Heine (http://www.heinie.com/357big.php). These are for Kimbers, but they might fit. If not you can see if he will make some for a STI.

Once a slide has been cut for bomars going to a fixed rear is very expensive endeavor that will have less than satisfactory aesthetic results. I carry a gun with adjustables from time to time.
