PM9 empty mag extraction

Third Kahr PM9. Great gun. First poly. Other two are K9 and T9.

The empty magazines do not fall out of gun. If there are 2 or more rounds they slide right out. Is this common on PM9 or other poly guns? The mags slide right out of steel guns.

Howdy CJJ etc:

I happen to be carrying my PM 9 today. After making sure the chamber was empty, I pressed the mag realease button and the loaded 6 round magazine dropped like a "rock". I then unloaded the magazine, inserted it into the grip then pressed the magazine release button. The empty magazine almost dropped as fast as the loaded magazine!

Caveat - my weapon has digested 7500+ rounds and has been 100% reliable from the get go thus think how many times my magazine release button has been pressed!

I would try another magazine to compare results. The magazine could be the culprit too!! Maybe the release might not be "broken" it yet and time might cure the problem!

I had the same problem. A slight squeeze with a pliers (not enough to notice a physical change change afterwords), and it didn't rub anymore and dropped freely.
