Now that the cat is out of the bag in regards to the new G21SF, I've been wondering if the new SF frame will work with the current G20 upper. This might be really sweet!!

Does anyone know if any 4th generation magazines besides the G21 mags have been produced? Like G17 or G22 mags with a cutout for the ambi release?

If it turns out that the G21SF does in fact use the G21 slide and barrel, then yes, the G21SF frame should work with the currently available 45-10MM barrels (locking block geometry, etc. should be the same). That would be cheaper than buying a complete 10mm upper...
I was thinking more along the lines of just using the G20 upper that one already has, after buying the 21SF. No conversion needed.

However, one may be able to modify current 10mm mags buy cutting in the square hole for the ambi release...
Wondering if a thin Dremel cutting wheel would be good to use for this.

No, but it seems suspect all of the Glock mags on sale lately. Blowing out soon to be obsolete inventory?
G20 upper would be more expensive ~$350 (if you could find one)

Have you noticed a reduction in the prices of current production Glock magazines lately?

Yes, Midway, CDNN, Natchez and a few others have them on sale. I'm suspecting within the next 3 months you will start to see all Glock mags with the ambi cut - I may be wrong

Obviously, if this is true, Glock will have modified the current frames to include ambi magazine releases. Makes me wonder if they will also change the grip contour/depth by reducing the extra space in the backstrap like they have with the new G21SF frame.

At some point they may release the gen 4 in other models; however, since the new ambi mags are backward compatible they could produce mags in all calibers immediately with the cut out

True. CDNN is listing new 4th generation mags for Glocks other than the 21. Currently they are out of stock.

Does anyone know if the G21sf's slide has the same width(cross section)as the G20/21?
