I will hopefully be moving to the Kokomo area this year and am wondering if there is a range near by? If so how is it? Also does anybody know if the Howard Co. Sheriff's department has there own range or where do they practice? Looking for both pistol and rifle.

Thanks

The range in Kokomo that I'm familiar with is called Bullseye... I don't know about the Sheriff's range. I'm trying to get moved to Logansport as soon as I get my house sold in Florida.

Izaak Walton League.. about 2 miles south east of omokoK.

- Individual New Membership: $90.00 + $10.00 (One Time Fee) + $5.00 (Gate Pass) = $105.00 - for a membership that expires Dec 31 2007. $90 per year renewal

- Family New Membership: $135.00 + $10.00 (One Time Fee) + $5.00 (Gate Pass) = $150. 00 - for a membership that expires Dec 31 2007. $135 per year renewal

We have 10, 25, 50 and 100 range. The firing line is covered.

We also have Trap Skeet and Sporting Clays. We are one of the most active shotgun clubs in the state throwing more than 4000 birds a month.

We also have 2 archery ranges.

IM me if you are interested..

Thanks for the information. How busy are the ranges usually. Is there a daily fee for Izaak Walton League or just the yearly dues.

I may do alot of shooting this year might be time to start reloading.

Just yearly dues.. some guys are out there every day when the weather is nice.. sometimes it gets busy... I'm out there a lot .. testing and chronographing new loads and just generally gearing up for IPSC, 3gun and Steel at Atlanta or Hi-Power at Deer Creek and Wildcat R&P.

Also.. If you've got something to shoot Skeet, trap or sporting clays with.. this is the place.. an 1100 with Skeet or Improved choke would be perfect.. we throw birds every day but monday..

Well the time has come and I will be in Greentown by the end of the month. So now I get to try out those ranges. Now I will just have to wait on my permit  Hopefully they are gettin them processed through quickly.
