Well, I thought I had all the problems with my PM9 ironed out. HOWEVER, I just came back from the range after firing 200 or so rounds of WWB hard ball and

MY FREAKIN REAR SIGHT HAS WALKED RIGHT OUT OF THE DOVETAIL!!!!!!!

Anybody else have this problem? makes it real tough to hit the target, even at 7 yards. I figure I can use a punch on the bottom of the sight to make a small bump and stick the dang thing back in and it should be tight. Is this correct? Any idea as to how to hold it tightly without marring the finish or breaking it? It seems to me that if I use a vise, i will only punch the sight down inside rather than making any dents in it.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

Just put a couple of dimples on the dovetail with a center punch.

Wow. I have the opposite problem with my MK9. I destroyed a drift punch trying to adjust mine. I ended up buying a sight vise to move the rear sight. I was worried about breaking the sight vise about the time it finally moved.

Super-glue should hold the rear sight, no? Just a thought.

Don't know about superglue, but I would think red loctite would work well.

Wow, my night sights have a allen head to keep them tight.

I don't want to dimple the reciever, as if I screw up, and you know I will, it is cheaper to replace the sight than the reciever.

Loctite could work, but that assumes I am at the range and can sight it in before the Loctite sets up. I don't have a bore sighter in 9mm.

Any other ideas? Keep 'em coming.

Thanks
