Anyway bai, nabasa ko yung biography nya sa wikipedia, madali lang ang tenure nya sa Supreme Court, yung last few months of 1985, just before the downfall of Marcos. How come it was shortlived? Nasa ist year college ko at the time. Magulo ang panahon na yun.

tama bai, i think less than 5 months lang sya kc he's going 70 years old na that time.one of the oldest appointed chief justice sya. retirement na talaga. but if u can see he's one of the brightest chief justice in our country. he's a member of alagad ng kalantiao. Most of my relatives are working in Supreme Court right now, even my sister. kanus-a ka mubalik diri bai?

Capt Barbel, tutuo yan pare, sa biography ni CJ Makasiar, hanep ang record as judge, sobrang mga experiences nya. He was born in the early 1910s and educated during the US commonwealth period. I just wondered why Marcos did not appoint him as CJ early part of his presidency? As for Siaton, I have distant relatives there na mga pamilya na Yong (chinese).

Sa Dumaguete ang crime rate has risen enormously. Ang dameng assassinations, snatching ng cellphones, houseinvasion/murder at burglaries. Its totally different now compared to the 80s when one can walk down the streets at midnight with no fear of those things. Napaka tahimik noon.
As for going back baka matatagal pa. Marami narin mga gun dealers doon. I unfortunately didnt have time to stop at one SHooters outlet kay busy sa iba na bagay that time. Sila yata ang may SAMs 1911 made by Cebu.

Sad to hear that chowchow,

Dumaguete is well-known as the Land of the Gentle People. what happen to our province? Sarap pa naman mag lakad sa boulevard at night. ngayon parang nakakatkot ng maglakad dun.
As for my lolo, masyado kasing straight yun! ayaw nya nga ng politics. That time wala pang halong politika,sa Supreme Court. kaya kung sino talaga ang dapat sa pwesto, sya ang susunod. Actuallly classmate nya raw c marcos sa U.P. Tawag nga nya kay marcos noon macoy...;)

Capt, dameng driveby shootings daw , shooter in backseat of speeding motorcycle (parang AL-Qaeda style hehehe)--hit and run style, as a result fedup na ang mga tao just last year nagsimula meyron nang vigilante groups. Halos maraming killings at night time. I hope ma clean up ang city natin. Pati mga estudyante involved sa mga crimes. Those are unheard of in my time in college.
