I am looking for a source for a Harrts recoil rod for a K40. Anyone know of one? I have been checking Ebay, but no luck yet. We need one bad as it is for my wife's K40, and new or used, would pay a premium.

Thanks.

Since we all seem to be looking for the same type of thing, I will post what I have found to date.

1. Harrt's was based in Ohio, and seems to have went out of business sometime in late 2004. I have called their telephone number and 1-800 number, and got a pet store and a radio station in reply.

2. Brownells sold Harrts up until sometime late in 2005. I know, because I bought a recoil rod for my K40 in August 2005, and managed to locate the receipt. I very recently called Brownells and had them perform a part number lookup. They did, and informed me that the part was discontinued by the manufacturer. The individual told me that Harrt's no longer was a vendor of Brownells, and that this information meant Harrts went out of business most likely.

3. I have read on several forums that Harrts recoil rods show up hit and miss on Ebay, and it appears several of you all have benefited.

4. I conclude that those who want one should just keep checking ebay for one, and eventually will get lucky.

If you all have any more ideas on where to find them, please let me know as I will pay a hefty premium (as it is for my wife) for one (new or used) for a K40.

Jeff.
