Hi. I am new to the board and new to glocks and guns in general so take it easy on me if I make a few bonehead errors in my posts.

So anyway, my question is in regards to a glock that I saw being tested and this glock seemed to be a fully automatic handgun. I think it was a glock 18. I wanted to know if this glock was to be fitted with a silencer would that hinder the performance of the gun at all in anyway? Would it still work as an automatic with a silencer? Are silencers generally available for any type of handgun?

Thanks.

My local gun range has a g18 for rental and yes, with the proper suppersor the gun will cycle in full auto. Suppersors are available for any type of gun as long as you have a threaded barrel for it. The threads on the barrel will need to match the suppersors threads. They make different threads for calibers and models of weapons.

If you live in one of the 26 FREE stats you can legally own a silencer or full auto weapon. Please check with your local gun dealer for more info.

Some silencers depending on the design lock the slide for absolute quiet when fired (no slide movement or empty ejection) just the click and the sound of the round.

Most however do not, so it would function as normal.
