View Full Version : G33 vs G29
I was all set to order a new G33 for CCW from Glock World today, then I stopped by Summit's website and DANG ... they have a new G29 for $15 more. Their shipping is $4 less, so the net difference is $11.
For eleven bucks which would you buy? and why?
Talk to me People :-)
For $11 I would get the G29. Ammo is harder to get sometimes but you can get a conversion barrel that will allow you to shoot .357 SIG if you'd like.
But then again the G29 is my current CCW gun and I would pay $100 more for a G29 over any other Glock sub compact (except maybe the G30).
Another consideration is this ... factory ammo for both is exprnsive ... that being the case ... it is easier to reload a straight walled case than a bottle necked case (no pun intended)

I'd get the G-33 because an extra barrel will allow you to use .40 as well.

But with the G29 you can use a conversion barrel to shoot .40 S&W and another to shoot .357 SIG. But you cannot shoot 10mm out of a G33 ever.

For woods carry I would go with the Glock 29. For self defense they would both be very good choices.
G29.
Don't worry G33, you're still great in my book.
Both good choices, I would go G29 first as you can have 10mm,357sig, 40s&w, 9x25, and 22lr all in one package. WOOOOOT.
I decided to buy both. This afternoon I took three handguns over to a local dealer to sell on consignment for me. Told him that when he sells one order a 33 for me, when he sells the second order a 29 for me. When he sells the third I'll have $$$ for holsters, ammo, accesories.
Anyway ... that's my story and I am sticking to it :)
