Well, I finally got it. I have been wanting an Ultra Carry for a while now. I just found one with the factory Crimson Trace grips with the Kimber logo on the grips. I probably paid too much for it, but I love it.

PS. One of these days I will get a picture with all my Kimbers in it.

Can the "don't point laser at eye" stickers come off without ruining anything? Pretty sweet though.

Yeah, they can. They are just stickers. But the propaganda from Crimson Trace say they have to be on there for legal purposes. Kinda like the do not remove tag on a matteress. I just hadn't taken them off yet when I took the pic. It's brand new and I was excited to share my joy with all of you.

I've been thinking about getting my first Kimber, are they worth the extra cost?

IMHO, if you want a good out of the box 1911 that doesn't need a lot of work then yes,it's worth the extra. They are not really that much more than a springfield and a lot less than a Wilson.

BTW, I got to shoot it finally and it is loud as hell

I doesn't shoot as well as I had expected. But since it has been a couple years since I have seriously shot much, I can't blame in on the gun when I start shooting a 3" barrel. It'll take me a bit of time to get back to where I was.

Still though, I was shooting 6" groups at 30 yards with that little stubby.
