I'm just a guy from Texas and Iíve got some gypsy in my soul. I guess thatís why I quit my job, and lost about 30 pounds to go into the Military at 27 years old.

So this week I depart on a journey that will take me through a year and a half of some of the toughest schools the U.S. Army has to offer. I promised four & a half years of my life, and in return the Army will license me as a Practical Nurse. (MOS 68WM6)

Iíll be in Oklahoma for the next 2 months for Basic Training, and then Iíll be down in San Antonio for about 4 months of Combat Medic School, and then 6 weeks of Anatomy & Physiology.

Then Iíll finish up with 11 months of Nursing School doing a clinical rotation in any one of five hospitals in the U.S. (El Paso/Augusta, Georgia/Tacoma, Washington/Washington D.C. /or back in San Antonio) I wonít know which hospital till around mid-August.

I just want to say thanks to some of you that helped me out with some questions I had awhile back... THREAD (http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=520939)

So wish me luck, and drink a beer or two for me!

Good luck! Just got back from AIT to my National Guard unit (74D Chem Ops Specialist). It's a bit crazy, just remember, it's mostly head games, they can't actually hurt you. Just keep going, tough it out, give it your all, and it'll be over with before you know it.
