Hey everyone,

I have a G19, and am getting together everything that i need for my new suppressor (barrel, sights, paperwork... waiting... ) Was wondering which sights are the best, and for what reasons. Will the current fixed sights work at all, or are they useless when the suppressor is attached?

thanks guys!

Wrong. He will definitely need raised sights to clear the suppressor. I bought a pair of Ameriglo non-adjustable raised sights for my Glock 17/Evo-9 combo, and they work great. Check out Ameriglo's website and/or give them a call- they were very courteous to me. You will have to order the front sight and rear sight separately. They do not come as a package.

Meprolight adjustable sights would also work.

Thanks trakker ! I'll give them a call. Their prices look to be about standard for after market sights.

Did you install the Ameriglo sights yourself or did you have them installed?

I have two eyes one sees the sights one sees the target, so low sights work for me just fine.

I had them installed by my shooting buddy, a gunsmith, who offered to do it for me. He said they were easy to install.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if he had to use a rear sight pusher or do they slide into the dovetail and tighten with a hex wrench?

I honestly don't know but I would bet he probably had to use a sight pusher. My understanding is that the Ameriglo "smooth slope" sights are the only ones that do not require a pusher. You could always call Ameriglo and ask them; here is the number: 770.390.0554
