View Full Version : Few questions for Glock armorers...
I have never had a part break yet, but I want to put together a spare parts kit.
1) Are the trigger springs the same for all glocks. Namely the 19, 17, and 30?
2) Are the slide lock, and slide stop springs the same?
3) What is the proper way to remove the slide lock?
Thanks

The slide lock spring is different for the 17/19/30
The firing pin spring is the same
the firing pin safety spring is the same
the guide rod spring assembly is different for the 17/19/30
the trigger spring is the same
the magazine release spring is the same (probably never have to replace)
With the armorers tool depress the slide lock spring then tilt the gun to the right and the slide lock will fall right out. There is a specific direction which the slide lock must be installed make sure the channel is facing the locking block.
Thank you sir.
What about the slide stop springs...?
Inline is correct.
The slide stop lever w/ spring is all one part (the spring is "pre-installed").

The Glock catalog has a chart that shows the parts compatibility between models. Pretty interesting stuff. There are 34 parts in a Glock, and there is a 76% compatibility of parts between pistols..

I would have said the same thing about the mag release spring but I broke one today in a G17 - I would say it's rare but it does happen.
