I thinking of getting a G27 and a 357sig barrel - nice convertability. I'd like to introduce my wife to something larger than the 22LR conversion on my Kimber. She can't handle the 45's recoil - hurts her wrist.
Is it possible to use the G28 .380 barrel in the G27. I suspect there are at least extractor problems, but being a newbie to Glocks I thought what the heck - can't hurt to ask.

No that won't work. You could buy a 9mm "conversion" barrel. The extractor will still be a bit loose but the G27 one usually works for practice. It can be changed for a G26 extractor but more work involved and usually not needed.9mm Glock magazines will also be required. The 40 caliber ones rarely work properly with 9mm.The KKM conversion barrel is one of the best. Some of the cheaper ones don't work ass well, not accurate and hard to find.
Part Number KKM-G27B1

The 380 Glock barrels use different sliges and I think locking block. The 9mm maga may work but the 380 mags are unique. You'd have replace the slide and all the parts in it.The 380 parts are sold as collector pieces in America and cost more than a new G26.
