Does anyone know of schools near Indiana that are of the same format and/or caliber of schools like Front Sight, Thunder Ranch, etc? I would prefer low-cost schools, but I know that you often get what you pay for. I'm just curious if there's something around here that's worth saving for.

Each year, Boone County Sheriff Ken Campbell hosts numerous classes taught by the nation's best firearms instructors. The cost is usually $450 for a three day long class. This price is very reasonable for the calibre of training Ken brings to Central Indiana. Also, Ken himself is a great instructor and is an adjunct instructor with Gunsite.

Send Ken an e-mail requesting that he put you on the training e-mail list. This way you will receive notifications re upcoming classes. Ken's e-mail address is kcampbell@co.boone.in.us

In addition to the opportunies Sheriff Ken brings us from other instructors, he also teaches the offsite Gunsite classes at Boone Co. He also does his own 2-day "Intro to the Defensive Pistol" class which is a steal at $150.

Plus, John Farnam comes to Rochester, Indiana every spring: DTI/John Farnam (http://www.defense-training.com/)

Steve Silverman F-R-I (http://www.f-r-i.com)has taught classes at the AtlantaCC in the past, but they were cancelled last year due to lack of interest.

Guy Minnis is near Evansville. You can access his offerings through the Red Brush (http://www.redbrush.org) web site.
