View Full Version : Any Minnesotans reload
I thinking of starting to reload. Nothing fancy but I would like to do pistol calibers and possibly .223 Rifle.
Any ideas/tips/tricks/advice? I'm considering a Dillon press.
I have 3 Dillon Square Deals for the 357 mag, 44 mag., and 45ACP, a RCBS Rock Chucker single press used mainly for rifle but also a couple of pistol calibers, and also a Lee single press which I haven't used yet...
If you are going to reload for the 223 and intend to shoot a lot, you should consider the Dillon 550B.
I am going to try to load up quite a bit this winter myself, especially the 45ACP and the 308.
I'm looking to start reloading too. I'm going to reload for .38spl, .223/5.56nato, 8x57mauser, and for my shot gun'n 12ga. and 20ga.
Get yourself a Dillon 650 with a Case Feed.
I ordered mine from here http://www.brianenos.com/store/dillon.html (http://)
Any purchase over $400.00 and the shipping is free
The Dillon 550 is the most sold progressive reloader in the world and puts out 500-600 rounds per hour. If you need an automatic index progressive, then the 650 at 800-1000 rounds per hour would be your choice if you intend to buy a Dillon...Take a look and make up your own mind...
I do .223 on a RCBS rockchucker, Once I start shooting 6.8mm SPC I'll probably start doing that too.
I just started recently and am getting the hang of it.
I'm west of minneapolis about 100 miles
