View Full Version : Polish it!
What kind of polisher or sand paper(??) can I use to bring the trigger bar/connector and other parts to shine like mirror? I want the smoothest trigger pull, but I don't want to wait thousands of rounds!
My local dealer got something called Red Scroll which mai purpose is for silver/copper/chrome and other stuff it is the only one that don't "scratch" the suface. Could I use this????
What do you all use when you polish your parts??
Thanks!

Flitz

The sandpaper comment scares me.
Randy is correct.
There are several viable methods/products.
The simplest and easiest and lowest cost is Flitz and a Q-tip.

Semi-chrome is an excellent polishing product for that use.

Amen, I just got mine from Ace Hardware,
Flitz Inc. said either Ace or a True value hardware should have it. @6.00 bucks for the small bottle.
Has anybody tried using a metal lubricant after the polish. I have some awesome "Ultima Lube" from Wilson Combat that is supposed to "treat" the metal even though you wipe it off. After about 500 rounds through my G21 I used it to lube the slide and Oh-Boy it made a nice smooth difference in the hand cycling of the slide.
I put some on my Spyderco and then wiped it off and it really lubes the metal even after you clean it off.
Your Thoughts...On trying it on the trigger components.:headscratch:

A person with no knowledge of the internals of a weapon shouldn't be tinkering. I think I would send it out until I obtained a little more knowledge. It's very easy to create a weapon that is dangerous on the raange as well as carrying.
