Georgia Is MAY Issue

The President of the Georgia Probate Judges Council argued before the panel of judges that Georgia is a “may issue” state and that the judge has “discretion” over whether to issue.

Hence, they can delay or deny your license application on a whim. Since they are judges, they can not be held to account.

i agree... i was a victim of this "discression" for a year.... i finally bought a house across the river... got my CWP in 5 days here.

no.... georgia law states that if you are a resident of georgia... an out of state non-resident permit is invalid in georgia.

In fairness, this "discretion" is the argument of one litigant, but it is not the law. GCO (http://www.georgiacarry.org/) is attacking this on MANY fronts.
