So, anyone planning on makin' it out to the Geroge R. Brown Convention Center this weekend in Houston for the gun show. I'm thinkin' about going to see if I can find a few more do-dads for my 10/22.

Lemme know if you you plan to make it out.

Just went to it last weekend in Pasadena. Pretty decent show. I'd be curious to see how different this one is from last weekend's.

Typically, the Pasadena shows suck. If you are trying to sell somehting nobody has any money. And both GRB and Reliant have a lot more vendors and sellers of all kinds of products. I actually had a vendor ask me to move along at the last Pasadena Show I went to. I was looking at rifle scopes and all I wanted to do was ask a few questions. The guy got impatient with me and told me that he didn't have time to stand around talking while he ignored his "other customers". I looked around and didn't see anyone even looking in his direction. I motioned him in real close and whispered for him to kiss me in a place where the sun don't shine.

I was at the Pasadena show last weekend also. Got a Double Star stripped AR lower for $100.00, best deal I saw at the show though...VERY crowded when I was there Sunday....

It was packed wall to wall at 10am on Saturday too.

Just got in from the Show at GRB in Houston. It's been a long time since I went to a show there. I have been mostly going to Pasadena and Reliant. But I enjoyed myself. The crowds were enthusiastic but it wasn't too bad.

I took the 10/22 to see if I could find anything else for it. I already have the bi-pod and scope. Wound up getting a trigger job (very very smooth). It shortened the travel of the trigger and reduced the pull from 5.5lbs to 2.2lbs. Can't wait to check THAT out. Also got that little magazine release gizmo which is a Godsend to anyone with arthritis in their hands.

I also picked up a Don Hume leather OWB holstere that works well for the G-23 or the G-36. It was priced at 30 bux but I offered the guy 20 and he took it. He was in a hurry to pack up and leave so he was wanting to make all the sales he could. Works for me. Sometimes you can catch a break by being there late on the last day of the show.

I'm not, by nature, a knife guy, at least not since I learned how to shoot a pistol, but I gotta te'ya, there are some BEAUTIFUL knives out there. I may have to get me a little something just, you know, for arts sake.

It was a pleasant afternoon. It seemed about the same size as Pasadena Shows but they seemed to have a lot more different things to look at.

Really. They didn't have jack for holsters at the Pasadena show last weekend. They were all Uncle Mikes or generic knockoff nylon and kydex wannabe's. Unless I missed somebody selling real gear, which is possible.

Oh well. I ordered my CTAC on Thursday so its a moot point.
