Anybody in the Redondo Beach Area?

I am in the process of planning a surprise visit to my dauther who lives and works in that area. She recently had surgery (not too major) and I want to surprise her. I need some suggestions on a Hotel/Motel in that area. I am on disability so my funds are some what of a concern (daughter comes first of course). Any recommendations? I might stay for a week or two, if that helps.

Something with a resturant/lounge area would be great.
While she can't work for several months, she was working at the Redondo Beach Pier, so I would really like to stay around there if there is any chance.

There is a Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza just up the street from the pier. Pretty sure they have a restaurant and lounge, and they have a parking garage right next to the hotel.

There is also a Holiday Inn Express not to far from the pier.
