I've got a friend getting married in October in Texas, but Ohio doesn't have reciprocity with Texas, but you guys do. Is there any way to apply for a non-resident permit, the website is completely useless, and there's no email or anything to ask questions about it. Was hoping one of you fine folks might know more.

Call them up and ask them to send you a CCW application. The permits are the same whether you live here or not, and the requirements for issuance are the same. The only difference is the address on the front.

I wasn't sure, b/c New Hampshire has a thing where you can send in 20 bucks, a copy of your actual license, and a small basic info sheet, and they send you a non-resident license. Wasn't sure if any other states had this.

This looks pretty useful:
http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/apply.html

Maybe this is helpful:
http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/license/forms.html

Good info here:
http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/contacts/faq.html

If you have questions:
http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/cgi-bin/LicWebAskGeneral.exe?Type=A

Or call them on the phone:
If you don't find the answer to your question, please call (850) 245-5691 for assistance

Other than that, maybe the website is useless...

I'd found all that, I just thought there would be something specifically for non-resident application as I seem to recall for texas, but I suppose I'll stop being lazy and call. Open mouth, insert foot. ;)

There is no special process for non-resident permits in FL. Same as in state. In staters have one advantage. We can get our fingerprints done electronically to save some time. I assume if you came here on vacation, then you could use electronic fingerprints as well.

Setzer77 is correct. I have a NM CCW and got my NH non-res shortly thereafter. It was easy. Added 9 states to my reciprocal list.
