:) Hey, 10mm4ever, Answer a question for me will ya?
What barrel do you have on your Glock; and what model pistol is shown in those pictures you recently posted in the, '21 Power' thread?
I've got a Glock Model G-21 with a muzzle-ported 5 1/8" Bar-Sto Precision barrel. What do you think my chances are of successfully using 45 Super cartridges in this pistol?
I'm already reloading maxed-out 45 acp loads in 45 Super cases. Should I continue and take it all the way?
Thanks! ;)

I say just put in the heaviest recoil spring in it and let her rip with the supers. The Bar-sto should have good case support and the porting will help a bit on the recoil.
I have been shooting handloaded .45supers out of my G21 with a 6" KKM barrel and now with the G21L slide for a while. With the stock slide I put a Wolff 24# spring in it (the heaviest I can find) with a Wolff uncaptured steel guiderod. I use a 22# ISMI and THE captured steel rod for the super out of the longslide.

Thanks! ;) That's one of the new Lonewolf 6 inch barrels in my(still unfired) G21. JR assured me, that these barrels should have no problem handling the .45 Super. I dont think you should have any problems at all, so long as you go with a beefed up recoil spring(I like the ISMI #22). You'll have higher slide velocity with the Super, so stronger mag springs might not be a bad idea(which I havent done yet). I noticed that the Ace .45 Super conversion package for the G21 includes stronger mag springs. There are several members here, whom are experienced reloaders that are welcome to chime in, but I'd most likely use un-fired Super cases and keep a close eye on your fired brass for the first outing or two with loads approaching the "firewall". Once I decide on which optics I'll use, I'll be done. Keep us all posted! BTW, there's some good .45 Super chrono data stickied at the "Big dawgs club" sub-forum here. It makes for some very interesting reading.
