I went over to Guns & Ammo in Manassas today to buy (please forgive me) a S&W MP40c. I found the service great and they must of had 40 or more Glocks and S&Ws in the store. Along with another whole part of the store full of 45ACP models, walls and floors full of semi auto and bolt rifles.

While waiting for the forms they offered beverages and a general interest in a happy customer experience.

BTW I took the 40c out the range. After I change the grip to fit my fat hands - I punched out the center of a B29 target with less than 50 rounds. It is a sweet shooter. I found not having the mag safety a feature a nice change too.

The MP 40c does have an bit more complicated field stripping procedure than a Glock.

I bet Guns & Ammo must be crazy on a Saturday morning.

you might mention that. If I remember correctly, they offer a discount to VCDL members.

Might want to check up on the VCDL discount. I think after an ownership change last year, they may have halted the organizational discounts for all but military and LEO (federal and local). It didn't help that people were asking for the discount, without proof of membership.

I stopped in there a few weeks back.
Bought some cleaning brushes and stuff that I couldn't find locally.
Nice selection of weapons and friendly staff.
I'll go back.

Congradts on the M&P40c...great gun! I have a 9c and am thinking of picking up a fullsize as well. Guns and Ammo has always done right by me...great place.

I missed out on the dougnuts because I visited during a weekday. But he did show me his new special edition HK and Bill did offer coffee, a can of pop or bottled water while I waited for the approvals to come through.

I will buy another firearm there.

Do they go to the shows?

They have been to most all the shows in Chantilly.

Does anyone know if they're a Glock law enforcement dealer?

I understand that they're courteous, friendly, helpful, etc., but how are their prices, overall compared to other local places like Virginia Arms, Shooters Paradise et al. ?

I do not know if they are a LE dealer. They may well be. Everytime I visit the store there has been a VA trooper or some LE person around.

I would say their prices are "average" to may be a little above. I bought a Glock 39 from them at the Chantilly Show and bought a MP 40c (I love that firearm). The Glock was $520 and I think the MP 40c was $525.

If I bought the MP40c from Buds the cost is $447 +$20 shipping +$40 for FFL transfer. SO the price is close to equal.

I find the convience of having most everything in stock and buying & running to the range excellent.

Do they carry a large selection of ammo? I'm currently shopping for different SD ammo to try out.

They also run a consignment auction using an opening bid and buy now price approach. Somewhat like Ebay. I have acquired a 1911 and a Beretta(both safe queens) at very acceptable prices from the auction. Final bids must be in by 1pm on Sundays, so it gets busy around 12:45!
