I don't and didn't work for KDLM, my buddy Joe is the APD there and I know the GM. I actually do some imaging and voice work for them on the side. I just got up there for a couple of days and we had a damned good time as always. The pic was taken for the sake of Andy, the morning guy. I printed it and left it on the board for him. I figured it would be good since his mouth is by that thing for about 3.5 hours a day. :supergrin: :animlol: :laughabove:

I wish I had the pictures of my first hair cut. Unfortunately, they were in a camera that was stolen when our house was broken into shortly afterwards. My mom put me down and let me walk in first as we came in the front door (they'd come in the side door). We walk in, and hear noise in the back bedroom, as well as notice the whole living room torn up, as well as the side door. Needless to say, we high-tailed it to my grandfather's house down the road a bit, who was a police detective at the time.

Arquebus ... Colorado winters are one of the best-kept secrets out there. Unlike back home (IL), snowfalls on the front range of CO are usually always followed by sunshine and warming temps. The pic above was taken on 30-Jan this year and I think it got pretty close to 60-degrees that day ... below is a shot of the same river, just two weeks earlier when mercury topped out at about 30-degrees.

Nope, its a pure rabbit felt from Adventurebilt Hat Co. Bashed it myself. I bought it soon after they (it was jsut he at the time) opened. He ended up getting the contract for Indy IV a few years later.

The Federation is a great hat. (as are all Akubra's) My dad has a gray one.

Sorry to hear about your friend... If you're serious about wanting to learn about shooting and self defense, let me recommend a few things to you.

First off is a book called "Armed and Female", by Paxton Quigley. She's an author that writes specifically women concerned with their own well-being and a real advocate for the same. She has a website, too, that has a lot of information and reference sources. paxtonquigley.com/ (http://www.paxtonquigley.com/)

Another one I like to recommend is a book called "In The Gravest Extreme", written by a former cop named Massad Ayoob, who now specializes in self defense, handgunning, and as an expert witness in self-defense trials. He also covers in great detail what happens and what to do after a shooting situation has passed, something that a lot of folks are very ill informed about. He's also got a website, which has it and other books that he's written, but after the above mentioned one, it's directed more to cops in the field. ayoob.com (http://www.ayoob.com)

Sorry if you think I'm talking down to you, I'm not, I have no idea what your experience level is... Just wanted to make my usual recommendations to people who are interested. Best of luck, and make time to practice shooting, it's a perishable skill.
