How tragic. Hopefully the child recovers. I don't know the contents of the safe, but any FTF gun sales over the next few weeks should probably be approached with an increased sense of caution.
There may be more to this story than meets the eye, but regardless, these things are sad.
Crooks are becoming way too brazen. People should enjoy a certain sense of security in their own home, that just isn't the case anymore. I have resorted to carrying a gun in my own house these days. What a pathetic shame.

So do I..but why not? For me it is actually more convenient. When I get dressed in the morning and, for example, put my wallet in my pocket I also slip my gun/holster on...and leave it there for the rest of the day. I see no reason to take it on and off throughout the day based on where I will be.

Even as comfortable as my holster is it's still nice to be able to take it off and relax in the Lazy Boy or stretch out on the couch, etc.
I always have my Kel-Tec in my pocket, even in the house. After reading that story, I may up-gun....
