Mine came in from AIM last week and I ran 3 mags of Bear, Tiger and some other russian made ammo through it on Sunday (well I ran 2 and my wife ran 1).
No functional issues what so ever with any of the ammos.
Looks wise it kinda reminds me of my Vepr K (only less pretty).
Accuracy wise it reminds me of every other cheap AK I have shot (but I bought it to rip through ammo and abuse it so I think it'll do perfectly).
-Build quality?
-Trigger slap?
-Trigger feel?
-I hear they are light; substantial recoil feel or no? I've shot an arsenal 7.62 and thought it was no big deal.
-extra mags available?
Thanks for any help

AS FAR AS THE BUILD QUALITY IT IS ON PAR WITH OTHER ROMY WASR'S THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED.
I-O'S WEBSITE SAYS THAT THE USA MADE FCG IS NO-SLAP.
TRIGGER FEELS CRISP AND NORMAL NOT A HEAVY PULL.
THE STG WEIGHS 6.5 LBS, ALL FURNITURE IS POLY AND LIGHT
IT SHIPS WITH A POLY PROMAG, HOWEVER I HAVE CHINESE SURPLUS 30 RD STEEL MAGS THAT FIT & FUNCTION JUST FINE. PROBABLY GOING TO PICK UP AS MANY ROMY HI-CAP SURPLUS MAGS AS I CAN AFFORD
I'd like to see a range report on the 308 version...

I love mine.
It's build is right on par with my WASR, which to me isn't a bad thing. First thing a did was slap a Kobra sight and a 40 rounder in her. Now all I need is a ACE folder. Best truck gun ever.

BTW, are the iron sights stock AK or something else?

The rear and front post sights adjust just like any other AK. The post holder slides left to right and the post is screwed in or out to move it up or down. Same was a WASR.
When I ordered mine I mentioned the AK Power ad. It was only $380 after taxes.
Also I haven't noticed any trigger slap. As far as recoil goes I'm 6'3" 240lbs so I take that into account when I say it feels light. The buttstock is hollow so you can put the cleaning kit inside.
So far I've tried these mags in the rifle and they fit fine:
Romanian 30rd (slight wobble)
Hungarian 20rd (slight wobble)
Polish 30rd (tighter than a prom date)
Bulgarian 30/40rd (tighter than a prom date)
Chinese 75rd drum (slight wobble)
Chinese 100rd drum (slight wobble)
The STG's start out life as a run of the mill WASR built at the CUGIR armory in Romania. They get a US made FCG, US made furniture, AKM-K front sight/gas block and US made M16A2 style flash hider. It's just a WASR in evil German Wieger style furniture. Century is also offering several versions of this rifle.
As far as the 308 version goes, just read my review of the 7.62 NATO PSL (found on most reputable gun message boards). The 308 STG is just a PSL with US made furniture and FCG.
Since I've got an AR I'm wondering if this is the way go, but with 2 questions:
-accuracy; the RR AR is very accurate, what can you expect out of an AK based platform shooting .223?
-Will it shoot 5.56 mil surplus as well? there's been a lot written about not shooting a 5.56 in an AR chambered in .223.
-Twist rate in .223?

Short of a VEPR, them is pretty guns. Not MA legal in present form. (Flashhider) I'm considering at some point shipping one to my FFL in RI and have him replace the flashhider with a nut or muzzle brake and then buy it off him. Considering.
