It was on a certificate I got as a random prize at Lexington last year so it'll take 12 weeks to get here, but I hopefully will have it before the next GSSF Match I'll attend to shoot in the new division for big bores. I think the new division has more potential than the prior 37 GAP Division as it allows .45ACP and 10MM for what I have read.

I don't understand the purpose of "club numbers" and the only posts are those asking for numbers. I'm lost.

In many of the specialized clubs here on Glock Talk, a Moderator or senior member formalizes a list of the club members and the requests they have made for a "Club Number." The club number (often displayed in the signature area, as in "21 Club member #xxxx") shows membership in that club, and helps to form a common bond with the other club members or those folks with similar interests. It has no tangible value, nor does it unlock any secret areas (as far as we know). Think of it like a leather motorcycle club jacket, a boy scout troop number shoulder patch, or a personalized license plate with a phrase about your hobby on it.

There also tales about it increasing your attractiveness to the opposite sex by 14%, raising your gas mileage, and putting you on the mailing list for a key to the GT Executive Washroom, but those are just rumors (as far as I know)... :whistling: :supergrin:

What's the point in having/needing a number?

Folks get a number to "belong" to the Clubs they are interested in. Sometimes they post their club affiliations in their signature blocks, so other people know what kinds of guns and hobbies they share.

Think of it as a virtual Harley Davidson t-shirt or hat, or an NRA sticker on your vehicle... :supergrin:

This forum is not as busy as some of the other forums, but if you want to see more threads, go to the bottom of the main forum page and adjust the Display Options to show threads from the Last Year, and then click the Show Threads button. This will show many older threads that have not been active in the recent past.

The numbers are just a way to show your affiliation with other folks that share your choice in firearms and/or interests. Having a number does not open any locked areas, or anything like that.

:wow:Cranked up the 21 SF. 1st group 5 shots at 25 yards 1.047 of the rest. Next group at a paper plate with a dot in the middle @ 25 yds Standing 10 shots 1.459. Last target at 15 yds standing 5 shots 1.112. Did a bunch of shooting between all the test groups.:wow: Looks like a keeper.:supergrin: Gotta love all the Glock 45'S.:cool:
