how long can you safely leave a magazine loaded without spring fatigue being a factor, would it cause a ftf or am i just being paranoid, i also heard that the mag should be loaded to only 28 rounds to reduce the chances of a ftf, but im not sure if that was just for ar mags or if it applies to the ak as well, im sure some of the service men on gt can me help me out with this, i would like to keep one or two loaded mags in the safe for piece of mind just in case something goes south.

I think that this is a common misconception. Springs are not affected by being fully compressed for long periods of time, but rather the repetitious movement that comes with loading and unloading. I've left mags loaded for over a year to prove this very concern with my brother, and guess what...
It went bang each time w/o a hitch
