View Full Version : Carolina Glockers
Is anyone doing anything with the Carolina Glockers? Is it still active :)
mainly fussing about proposed gun laws, crime, crappy gun shows, and lack of places to shoot
especially the crime here in the charlotte:shocked:
We need to get a few people together in charlotte so we can hook up and do some shooting, reloading etc...
Anyone game?
I'm game...I go mainly to Shooters Express although with their latest price increase on their yearly range fee, I'm inclined to look elsewhere.

Yes sir, we are. Just call me and let me know what time and where to meet.
Lets plan for next sunday at 1pm. I wont be there tomorrow because I have to get new tires for my car and since the range is only open from 1 - 4 I wont get to make it. I will be there next week :)

Me too -- curious as to why you're not interested in renewing either. It's the closest range for me, but the long waits on the weekend and the fact that you can't buy 6 month memberships anymore makes me inclined to go back to Bullethole in Monroe, even though it's about 9 miles further than Shooters. I wonder if they have a group purchase discount like Shooters in Statesville offers?
I just find $200/year to be expensive for what you get. Plus, I'm getting tired of shooting indoors and just simply aiming at targets. I may check out Mecklenburg Wildlife since it's in the same area and appears to offer more variety. Not sure how crowded it is though...
Do you have any information on the Mecklenburg Wildlife Club? They don't have a web url or any way to check out anything that they have. I will admit that with the nice weather coming I would like to shoot outdoors and possible some target shooting other than paper.
I found a telephone number:
Mecklenburg Wildlife Club 704-399-3733
Looked everywhere for a website but can't seem to find one for it. May give them a call today to see what information I can find out and will report back.

yep the price continues to rise, the lines get longer, and you can get cancer while waiting.
talk about walking into a fog, these express folks can generate some serious cigarette smoke.
somebody needs to open a range or two north of charlotte.
I heard that there is a re-zoning project that is going on in York county but its going to be a range for the pd, so lets just hope its open to the public. If you want to stay outdoors and live in charlotte you can pay the same prices with about 1000 more hoops to jump. If you are willing to do it and can get it if you go down to waxhaw to the Charlotte Gun club.
