There's this superhot waitress at one of my favorite eaters, a whole 26-years-old, high cheek bones, gloriously thick and long hair, a mean wazoo, wasp waist and of course a set of mammary glands to die for. I'd guesstimate a minimum of 34 C cup. Today I came in and she sported a set of bolt-ons.

WHY? IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT HOLY, WHY?

It's not like she's an A Cupper, or has tube sock titties, or suffering from the passage of time. They were round and yummy!!!

So, please enlighten me, ladies. Why do women with nice to great breasts get boob jobs?

I don't get it. I mean I don't get a lot of things women do and think. But I really don't get the bolt-ons with women who don't have cosmetic issues like recovering from breast cancer, or naturally misshapened mammary glands.

1. THEY don't think that they have beautiful breasts.

2. SOMEONE ELSE told them that they didn't have beautiful breasts (or something that made them THINK that) and so they started to develop a complex.

3. Maybe low self-esteem thrown in is enough to make her head for the plastic surgeon.

If I ever need "enhancement," I turn to either Frederick or Victoria. So I can't help you much more than that. :dunno:

I don't get it either. I'm a guy, and I LOVE women's breasts. But I'm a REAL person. I love 'em no matter what the size is, as long as they're REAL! I DETEST implants. I canceled my playboy subscription years back when it got to the point where there were MAYBE 4 out of 12 playmates all year that weren't "augmented". My wife doesn't believe me that a HOT woman with fake breasts turns me off. She thinks that all men care about is breast size, and even 7 tears later STILL will not believe me.

I'm not a fan of make-up, ANY "surgical augmentation" (except to repair physical damage), or high-heels. I think my wife looks best in good jeans, a t-shirt, and a pony tail.

Women, take this to heart. You are beautiful the way you are, WITHOUT 2 gallons of cover-girl, silicone, and stellettoes!

I suppose the same question could be asked of men who respond to those spam messages touting "enhancement" drugs. They should consider what a girl from the hills of Tennessee told me years ago, "It's not how long the rope, it's how you dangle the bucket."

Actually, in all seriousness, Egyas gives the answer right in his post above.

My wife doesn't believe me that a HOT woman with fake breasts turns me off. She thinks that all men care about is breast size, and even 7 tears later STILL will not believe me.

Unfortunately, no matter how loudly you guys may shout it, I'm not sure women will ever be able to hear it. It starts as early as ten or eleven, this idea that we need big boobs to get the attention of men. The media, and men's constant attention to women's chests, teaches us that it's a very important component to a man's attraction to a female.

When is the last time you passed a woman on the street with small to average A or B cup and said, "Whoa, baby, come to papa?" Women know that reaction usually only starts at D cup or bigger with most men and if they need that reaction in their life, they'll look for augmentation if they didn't get it naturally.

I prefer quality over quantity everytime and for me quality begins with natural.

Maybe if men said that more often, women MIGHT buy it!

You certainly wouldn't get that impression reading 99% of the posts here in GT!!!

Natural SHOULD be best!

ANYONE, given a good plastic surgeon can get the same "cloned" look.

:sigh:

I've never cared for the phoney ones myself. Natural is better. But then, I've aways seem to look down and then move up. What ever floats your cork! By the way, I agree......"better tips, Dude!"

My Fiance is a nice B cup, and i'm certainly not complaining..any bigger and they just dont fit right =). Honestly, with me, a D cup looks too big, but again, thats just me. I think women get implants 'cause someone tells them to. In the case of my ex, she went from an A cup to a D cup. I've seen what she looks like with the balloons installed, and it aint pretty. Implants = ugh.

So it's easier to quickly attract a new mate when they divorce their husbands.

EDIT: Bolt-ons are like BMW sport bikes... they look fast, but don't handle for crap.

Actually, the chicks in the movie 300 were particularly hot because their breasts looked natural.

Must have been cold up there, Atlanya.

I just picked up a Glock 30 about 2 weeks ago. Love it! Now to figure out how to "conceal" carry it as it's a bit bulkier than my PM9.

OH, is this a thread hijack? Hope so!

It was indoors, thankfully, since yeah, it was pretty cold. It was the third in a three month series. The one where they draw for the winner of the gun they give away. I didn't win the gun. :crying:

Oh, do tell. Why did you decide on a Glock 30?

I thought it would be a good balance between size and power/# of rnds. Standard magazine is 10 rnds but it will use the G21 mags so up to a 25-rounder will work - not exactly concealable though with a 25 rnd mag. ;)

A lot of GT folks are concealing these very well, but it may mean a loose fitting t-shirt or the like for me. I don't have a holster yet and you know I'm NOT for purse carry, so I'm still looking.

I put about 200 rnds through a range G30 and loved it. It seems to have less felt-recoil than my friends G27 .40 cal. I'm off to the range after work to meet him and put some JHP through my 30.

I agree 100%!

Show your wife this thread as yet another attempt to persuade her that her perception is waaaaaayyy off.

Sure, men notice larger breasts, but noticing large fakes is not the same as liking them.

34C seems on the large side to want to upgrade... but that said... women with large busts get more attention.

I've had friends, girlfriends, and associates over the years with busts ranging from A to F and large busted women simply get more attention.

This is largely cultural of course, alot of other societies on earth don't place as much value on large breasts as American culture does.

As a personal side note... I don't mind boob jobs... as long as they are expensive ones :) I grew up in a really wealthy area where when women got theirs done they looked amazing. When I see the $1000 special bolt ons that look like bursting tires barely held under the skin by will power alone... I'm sad.

The problem I have with implants is what happens in a few years down the line. I mean, I'd love to get a little boost. I'm an A cup-and I've always hated that about myself.

I'd even planned to get something done, but a combination of worries about the longevity of those things-especially the silicone ones-and my hubby's talking me out of it changed my mind. He says anything more than a mouthful is wasted...(blush)...and it is true that implants are obviously implants. Frankly, I don't like that, so I guess I'll stick with things as they are.

One thing I have noticed about women with A cups that get implants is that no matter how good the doctor is, you can always notice that they are implants. I have yet to be fooled. I once knew a dancer that went from an A to a high-end B with implants, and you could still tell. She was slender, and the B's looked big on her. Yes, her dancing revenue increased, but in my mind, she didn't look anywhere near as good.

From a piggish point of view, I have NEVER been turned-off by a woman with small breasts, but a cute girl with "fakies" takes the "steel out of my spike" if you know what I mean. I love breasts, regardless of size, as long as they are natural. Besides, it has always seemed to me that the women with smaller breasts have more sensitivity anyway. ;)

Don't change yourself for public image, embrace what you have! :)

And of course we men like big breasts. Big breasts make us go nutso.

But not fake big breasts. Those are yucky.

I'm curious if men's acceptance of fake breasts has anything to do with age (specifically what time period they were raised in.)

I wasn't a teen until the 1990s. By that time implants were as common as could be. Think about kids who are teens now with all the reality surgery shows and such... they'll think of implants as being even -more- common and normal.

Maybe. I was born in '73, and when I started reading Playboy (mid teens) "fakies" weren't very common yet. As they became more common (and my ability to spot them became more common), I began to lose interest in the mag. When it seemed like more of the models had fakes than natural, I canceled my subscription and haven't bought a single issue since.

I was born after 1950, but before 1960, but I think I've always had an aversion to fakes.

I think men who "need" their women to have large breasts have small brains.

Interesting. I didn't see my first playboy until 1994. However I always liked finding a stash of old pre-1980 playboys because the women were more natural looking.

I am a man. I much prefer real breasts.

Some women here say that the implanted girls get more attention. That is true of the kind of men who openly make sexual advances towards women. However, I think their rationale may be more along the lines of wanting to hit on a "loose" woman, as they see any woman who would have surgery like this must be "easy."

Gravity seems to have an affect after awhile and implants serve to give them a face lift.
Who cares if they are "REAL" or not.
If they look nice, it's fine with me.

OK - here goes... I've tried NOT to answer or otherwise encourage you gentlemen. I told another female poster by PM, that I wouldn't dignify the OP's post with a reply, BUT...

Maybe you boys could take your discussion to General Non-Glocking (http://www.glocktalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=29) where
"...pretty much any non-Glock, non-gun related topics can be discussed."

I saw some interesting threads over there for you gentlemen that could keep you going for months...
...MY wife is simply messy and unorganized
...Which chick is hotter?
and one you may all identify with:
...RUDE people...

Here on Women's Issues, many of us would like to keep with the spirit of the forum as defined on Glocktalk home page, specifically:
"...many aspects of self-defense, firearms ownership and use and life in general, that are unique to females. Here is a place to discuss them. Guys are welcome here too, but remember that this is a place for the ladies. Please act appropriately.

Most (perhaps all) of us don't have the same "issues" with our own bodies as the "issues" that men appear to have with our bodies. Therefore, it seems time would be better spent talking to you guys about gun issues. If you need some other (reasonable) advice relating to your girlfriend or wife (necklaces, corsets, come to mind), that's reasonable! And we have a couple of men around here who just happen to love "wimmins", but remain respectful. Please try to practice that same respect in your future posts.

Thanks for understanding.

Nothing I have said is inappropriate in any way, nor does it violate ANY of the forum's ToS.

Perhaps you need to get your own perceptions/feelings in check before you go all "Forum Nazi" on people. Sheesh!

The OP had a legitimate question, and was looking for opinions. So far, you are the ONLY person to express any form of problem with the question. Just because YOU don't like the question.thread, doesn't give you a right to demand people abandon or move it. The OP was wondering why some women have an issue with their body shape, thus a "Women's Issue".

If you are so upset about it, maybe YOU should back out. Afterall, no one is twisting your arm to read the thread, are they?

Then I apologize. I took that as a direct attack against guys discussing a topic in the "girls" forum, and it annoyed me greatly.
