I just received this e-mail from Gary Smith, sales mgr.@ Caspian this morning!
GL20 fans,
Thanks for all the input concerning GL 20 long slides. We get the message
loud and clear. No need to put any more pressure on us. I just want you all
to know that it will take time.
Thanks again for taking the time to keep us informed.
Gary Smith
Soon, we will have the best longslides available on the planet for the G20/21.

So they'll work with 10mm or .45ACP? The breach face would (should) be different...are they making two?
I'll take one of each, though

I am getting some e-mails that tell me some folks out there are getting the wrong idea so I'm posting today to clarify things.
We only run gl style slides once in a great while. Last time it was almost 4 years between runs. This run we decided to make the 17, 19, 22, 34 & 35 based largely from data obtained from a survey we posted on this site. Thank you for your response by the way.
The next time we run, and I really have no idea when that will be, we will post another survey on this site because trends change over time. Until then, we keep the 20 in mind, but all the e-mails in the world will not bring that day any closer.
Thank you for your support,
Gary

Well, thanks for the scoop - though the reason many of us "got the wrong idea" is because many of us received the same email from Amy (mine hit on 3/12) with your name at the bottom.

I guess we did assume that this email indicated a narrower response/production window. Now we know better - not good news, but valid news at least. It's too bad this may not happen for a while (though, I'm still holding out hope that it does). That said, you can hardly blame us for believeing the apparent rumor of this project getting underway in the near future to be genuine.
Make it, and we will buy...

Hey KKM
Make us a stainless slide for the G20 & G21 or at least
one of the above
You could sell more 6" 10mm conversion barrels too :)

Wait, when was this run? Did they just now finish a run, indicating we may have to wait until the next Winter Olympics to get these-maybe?
I understood their next batch was sometime next year, and would definitely include the longslide G20. They're not saying the next batch will be "who knows when" and "may or may not" include G20's? Right?
Right?

Until now I thought Bill Clinton rewrote the definition of "vague". When you plan on producing something, you want to let people know A.S.A.P. and you do your damndest to give them at least some sort of time window. That is of course "if" you really want their business and "dont" want them to buy someone elses product before yours becomes available, because "they" were under the impression that "you" had no idea of "what" you were going to do. Good business practice does not thrive on customers having to pound your door down continually, only to recieve more or less "conflicting" responses from one or more representatives of said company. Quality aside(and Caspian is at the top), I begin to lose interest rapidly in light of these practices. I regret ever starting this thread and will from this point on, let the manufacturers do their own promoting.
