Concealment Question

How do you all conceal your G21's?

Uncle Mikes "Sidekick" Size 15...$10 It is an IWB (inside waist band) holster. "Tacky" feeling on the outside to grip against leg and pants, "slippery" on the inside to easily release the weapon. Buy it for strong side carry. (Clip is on the outside of the holster for IWB carry). I carry the beast under a tee shirt while wearing jeans or shorts (must have "firm" waist in garmint, or a belt). Sure you can see something there, but it doesn't "print" like a gun. This is because only the handle is sticking out above the waist of your pants. The bad guys have to decide for themselves...hmmm...cell phone? Or high capacity 45 auto!!!
P.S. If you wear a loose fitting (doesn't have to be hawaiian print) button up shirt, you can't see that anything is there at all. Have Fun, Tommy

Uncle Mikes Kydex holster on the strong side, canted forward, on or just forward of the hip. The cant and mid to forward position keep the butt from printing. A loose shirt, untucked, covers it nicely. Make sure the belt is tight and sturdy.

Bianchi #7 Shadow holster coupled with a Galco 1 1/2" gunbelt, or Galco Miami classic shoulder holster system, and appropriate cover garment. Of the two, the Bianchi product provides better concealment. The Galco product, however, is much more comfortable for all-day carry.

Don Hume Double Nine at 4:00 with a Fobus single mag carrier on the off side. I have a "work belt" I bought at Wal-Mart that is very stiff and works just as good as any gun belt I have ever had. I believe I paid about $15.00 for it.

For woods carry it's usually a Fobus or Uncle Mikes kydex rig.

If I am wearing a suit/sport coat, then I use a miami classic shoulder rig. If I am wearing jeans, I use a IWB bianchi. Hands down this (and my G20) are the two hardest guns I have ever concealed, but like they say: dress around the gun. I can be done, but it just takes planning.

KYDEX is to low for my clothes
The Bianch #7 may ride to low for concealament.
I have a Bianchi #5 [high ride] on order. It should conceal OK.

C-Tac Comp Tac Slide. It IWB's so easy on any kind of pant/slack that I wear. I slip it in my waistband, cinch it up and holster the 21. I like to wear it a little forward of my hip and it conceals pretty well most days. summer requires a big, dark, baggy shirt.

If I go IWB I use UCR Kydex, if I go OWB I use a Disantis Thumb Break Scabbard. Either way a long shirt is required to cover the weapon. I prefer the Disantis for comfort.:thumbsup:

Carrying a G21 cannot be easy but in the past I carried a G20 concealed in a Milt Sparks VM II, one thing for sure you always no its there.

Concealing the 21 can be a challenge, but it's really not appreciably longer in the grip than a G30 with a mag extension. Barrel length doesn't matter all that much for CCW (within reason), and besides, it's only 3/4" longer.

I was very surprised when I found my "tiny" G36 with a +1 extension was actually taller than a stock G17. We can fool ourselves on all kinds of points.

I'm 5' 10 1/2" and 265. I have found what works best for me is a good belt (Wilderness 5 stitch in my case), a Galco Quick Slide holster, and a t-shirt one size larger than I normally wear. The Galco rides the pistol high and very close to the body. It also has a steep cant that tucks the butt of the gun in. I carry at 3:30 or so. I have carried a Glock 21, Glock 37, Glock 17, Glock 19, 5" 1911, Sig 220, and Sig 226 this way with good results.

Concealing a Glock 21 is easy for me.
I use either the plastic/Polimer-2 Glock holster or a Bianchi #5 holster. With my shirt tail out I place a button-up shirt over top my regular shirt. The regular shirt covers most of the 21 and the OPEN button-up shirt covers them all.

I've been using the blackhawk Serpa system for my G21 and love it. I have even purchased it for my G23. If you shop around like I did on eBay you can get them at a good price.

The crossbreed is working out very well, best concealing holster I've used on a lg. frame pistol, comfort after a week or so break in is darn good, can pull off w/ just a t-shirt w/ cell phone case attached to belt just fwd. of the kydex. Wish I would have been up to speed on these earlier in life.

You know there are so many rigs out now it is hard to keep up with all the newer ones coming out. What is a "crossbred"? Who markets them? Where can I find a picture of one? What do they cost?Are they IWB or OWB? NMI!!

This might help if intrested,

I carry my New G21SF as I carried my old 21 in a Cozy Partner by Desantis every day, it goes inside pants and hooks on belt with 2 snap straps, no problem, shirt out, or jacket on in the cold months, and the only people who know what I have on are people in my office.
