If you are a Marine named "Kevin" and you have a little 11-year old cousin named "Elena", or maybe it's "Alana",
I heard a song she wrote called "Kevin Is My Hero".
For the rest of you, she comes from a religious family and our form of music is a cappella 4-part harmony. She wrote the song in 4 parts, and the repeated chorus is God praise.
The verses are simple.
---------------------------
Kevin is my hero.
You're fighting for our freedom.
chorus
I want to say, "Thank you".
He wasn't killed by anything he saw.
chorus
When I lay in my bed at night
I think of you sleeping in Iraq.
I want to say, "Thank you".
"Thank you".
------------------------------
Ditto.
The performers I heard were some college men who perform in a gospel chorus.
