Who makes the best 3.5 pound connector? I have heard there are much better (smoother/lighter) ones that the Glock factory versions.

For the best in reliability, stick with Glock oem.

FYI, I've got almost 10,000 rounds through my G23 using a LWD connector and not a single failure or problem of any kind. While I agree that OEM is usually better for reliability, in this case I don't see a difference. Just my .02 :)

I just installed a LWD 3.5 connector in my G-23 and it's really sweet!

Do you need a new spring when using these connectors or do you keep it stock? Really curious about the connector/spring relationship.

spring?

do you use your stock spring? I don't get the connector thing (but I am willing to learn) :)

So let me get this straight, you just add anew connector and that's it, a lighter trigger pull?

A lightened striker spring and xtra power return spring does more for a better trigger than a 3.5# conn. But you will want to use Federal primers only, and good luck finding those.

I change my striker spring to a 4lb and 3.5 connector (Ghost or OEM only) when I go to the range only. no problems with the lighter striker spring. for carry I use the NY trigger and change the striker and connector to the original. A the lighter trigger should only be used when target shooting never for carry. If you carry I strongly suggest a ny trigger spring (Olive) at the very minimum. you can also get a 8lb connector.

Lone Wolf 3.5# connector and a NY#1 trigger spring. It's smooth and firm.

I agree, lighten springs are not for carry. Wolff springs have a warning label not to use for duty.

The best trigger pull I've personally been able to squeeze from the Glock is with a well polished 3.5 oem connector, trigger bar and f/p safety with a NY1 trigger spring. This is my favorite setup, but you'll only learn by experimentation.

10,
What other combinations did you try, and how did they compare?

Thank you ! ! !

I REALLY REALLY like the Ghost Rockets.. It takes some trial and error to get the overtravel stop tuned in, but it is really worth the effort. If you order the special orange backplate that allows access to the striker, when the gun is assebled, yet won't fire, this task is really quite simple. I also take the time to polish all of the metal to metal contact areas, including the striker's "hook", while I have the trigger out. The result is a very smooth, very consistant trigger pull that has next to no overtravel which results in a very quick reset and short follow up shot length of pull.. The 3.5lb connectors also remove that staged feeling that hte OEM connectors have, so you have one consistant feel throughout the entire pull.

I have then installed in several of my guns and will soon be ordering for the rest of them.

Oh, also, if all of the lockwork is polished well, you will not have to bother changing any of the trigger springs, therefore will not really be compromising reliability at all.

Federal primers have pretty much dried up.

I am having good luck on a competition gun even with CCI (reputation for being hard) and Winchester primers.

My firing pin is the steel reduced weight model from Lightning Strike, marine cups, extra power trigger return spring, 11 pound recoil spring, full length tungsten non-captured guide rod, grip tape and polish everything internal to a mirror finish. A small amount of moly grease on the glock 3.5 connector with a drop of Mobil One 20-w50 and then Mobil One drop on all of the lub points.

FWIW I tried the Ghost Rocket for awhile, once it was adjusted enough to be reliable it wasn't doing much for overtravel so I completely ground off the lug. I'm not using the connector now.

Most people comment on how smooth my G35 is when they operate it.
