I recently traded a couple of "safe queens" for a used PM9. I took it to the range last week and put about 150 assorted rounds through it, Gold Dots, WWB and Blazer. It worked flawlessly. The deal included a Kramer horsehide pocket holster, a High Noon pocket holster and a kydex IWB rig with leather tabs and kydex belt clips (unmarked and I don't know the brand).

I am familiar with Kahr products and the problems others have had with the PM9 but I guess the previous owner may have worked out the bugs, if any, on this particular gun. No barrel peening and a VB 2XXX serial number. It's a bit of a handful to shoot, but I wanted reliability in something smaller than my G26.

So far, so good. I guess I got lucky.

Mine weas used also (VA serial). It has been perfect. It seems from posts I've read here and other places, though that problems are less frequent than good ones. I figure most people witgh problems will post somewhere and complain and those with good ones just accept that fact and only respond if asked. I figure there are 10-1 Good over bad of just the ones who post, so the ratio must be higher than that.

I think you are right. If a PM9 works fine, there is no reason to post that fact on the Internet. But if you get a bad one, then I certainly understand being completely PO'd after spending upwards of $700 on a gun that doesn't work, paying exorbitant shipping fees to send it back to the factory and then wondering if it was really fixed. I would post it all over the Internet too.

I will practice with my PM9 but for extended range sessions, I'll shoot my G26 or one of the many other guns I own. I just know I'm not going to get the mileage out of my Kahr that I will from my Glocks. I consider my PM9 a "specialty" carry pistol whose main attribute is ease of concealment. I will treat it differently than my other guns. If I want to beat the hell out of a gun, I'll use a Glock because I know it can take it.
