OK, finally got around to posting some pictures of this. Have a look. These do not appear on any other Kahr PM 9 that I've been able to find.

And FYI, look at the not so wonderful workmanship. IMO, for $600 this is completely unacceptable. Yes I am being picky but these should be made much better for the money.

Enzo - I don't know what the cutouts near the muzzle are about (maybe a machining process that was off a little?) but they look harmless.

OTOH - that mess on the inside of the slide looks very bad. It looks like it could possibly be dragging on the case rims? You were having feed problems, right? I'd send Kahr an email with those photos and suggest they take it back for a replacement.

Howdy:

Here's photos of my 8,200+ digested rounds Kahr PM 9 (VA #59XX) slide. It does look a "bit" different Enzio posted.

Another photo to compare Enzo slide to my Kahr 9mm slide

Enzo,

Just FYI, my PM9 does not have the two little cut outs like the on you show in the OP picture.

Howdy:

Don't know how to attach two photos in one email. This photo compares again my slide compared to Enzo slide photo.

Mine does not have the cuts or the wer marks in the second pic.

I'd be upset also.

I sent the picts to Kahr this morning. I have confidence they'll step up and make it right. A new "quality slide" is all it would take to make me happy. This slide is clearly borked. :)

The weapon is 3 weeks old? 150 rounds. Sheesh.

Great pics Enzo. My DLC do not have those cutouts and the wear/tooling marks.

Yes it looks like some one set the tool improperly and left to much sticking out so that it cut deeper. Shouldnt hinder performance but I would like it either.

After sending pictures to Kahr they have already overnighted me a replacement slide for my PM9.

Now, I'm not just saying this but this slide looks like it came from a different factory. It's perfect. I am very pleased because now this weapon looks like a $600 weapon. It's a beauty and that's how it should be.

So, Enzo - how's it shoot?

I have not made it to the range yet. Perhaps tomorrow. :)

I would think it will require a break-in period. Make sure you examine the frame well before and after firing to see if you get additional material to shave away when you fire it.

Also I'd be interested in general fit and whether the slide is tight as the original.

let us know how things go.
